Bradenton, FL December 28 2003--Dr. Wayne L. Faulkner a board certified dentist since 1986 and a specialist in cosmetic dentistry now offers patients the CEREC 3D crown and veneer fabrication system. There is no need for the doctor to take a plaster impression or create a temporary, entire process for a single tooth can be completed in one visit and usually in about an hour.

The CEREC 3D process utilizes a sophisticated digital imagining system to map the affected area of the patients teeth. A model of the new crown is created in a proprietary CAD/CAM (Computer assisted drawing/ manufacturing) application. This digital model is then milled in the office from tooth colored material that is both durable and natural looking. The crown in then bonded to the tooth giving the patient an excellent alternative to silver or plastic applications.

Dr. Faulkner uses this process in conjunction with laser and traditional procedures to give patients a picture perfect smile, a Smile by Faulkner.
